On the MBTA and new techniques...

No new posts for way too long now as busy working in Sandra Wakeen's Atelier for months.  The point is to try and break old bad habits (mostly lazy habits) in oil painting, brush work and changes in composition with these classes and Koo Schadler workshops.  Too many shortcuts have taken their toll on some of my work.  As a result I'm thinking of returning to figurative work along with stepping up my technique in still life, but progress is slow so here's a collection of quick, gesture drawings from Boston commuters on the MBTA as they ran for the train, stood in line, etc.  I can still remember some of the regulars.  There will soon be new still life studies.
